Laura Aszman, Portland, OR

Dance, Hula Hoop

Laura Aszman never would have thought she’d be a hoop dance instructor. Most of her life dancing made her feel vulnerable and awkward. On top of that, she was never able to hula hoop as a child! Yet all these years later, she can now say that the hoop has been her best dance teacher, her movement meditation and greatest tool for health and fitness.

Teaching brings her tremendous joy. She has a passion for teaching beginners and is dedicated to helping others feel more comfortable and confident within themselves. She relocated her business, Beauty in Movement to Portland, Oregon in 2015 where she holds ongoing classes and private lessons. She strives for whole body, mind and spirit wellness in her own life and is devoted to encouraging others let their authentic selves shine.
